A San Diego bowling and sports bar restaurant and entertainment concept called Tavern+Bowl is opening a new location at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale. It will be Tavern+Bowl’s first Arizona location and also include a microbrewery. The concept has locations in San Diego and Orange County.
Tavern+Bowl will move into an 18,243-square-foot-space at Westgate with 12 bowling lanes, a full restaurant, pool tables, shuffleboard and indoor and outdoor bar areas. Westgate’s Tavern+Bowl will also feature what is being touted as the first microbrewery in Glendale with Good Bad Ugly (GBU) Brewing Co. The new location is scheduled to open in March.
“We completed the new Dave & Busters building and they opened in November 2015. Now, Tavern+Bowl will combine the West Valley’s first true in-house microbrewery alongside their high-energy bowling environment, adding a great new dimension to our already compelling tenant roster,” said Jeff Teetsel, development manager for the Westgate Entertainment District.
Tavern+Bowl owner Dan Hurd said he’s excited for his first venture outside of California to land at Westgate which is adjacent to Gila River Arena and University of Phoenix Stadium.
