A new 18-hole golf course with all par-threes will debut Valentine’s Day at the redeveloped Mountain Shadows property in Paradise Valley,
The Short Course is part of the redevelopment of the Mountain Shadows resort development on Lincoln Drive east of Tatum Boulevard.
Golf course architect Forrest Richardson revamped the former Mountain Shadows Golf Club into the all par-three Short Course.
Holes will range between 60 and 200 yards. The aim is to offer quicker and more fun rounds of golf.
“Fun golf is defined by presenting puzzles that beckon the player back for more. At Mountain Shadows we have created just that — a series of riddles that are demanding, but all the while enjoyable,” Richardson said.
Dallas-based Woodbine Development and Scottsdale’s Westroc Hospitality have teamed up to renovate the Mountain Shadows Resort off 56th Street and Lincoln Drive.
The Paradise Valley report originally opened in 1959 and was torn down in 2014.
