The best neighborhood in Phoenix little ghouls and goblins to grab candy this Halloween?
That’s according to Zillow’s new Trick or Treat Index, which ranks the top cities that offer the best trick-or-treating options. The Seattle-based real estate site crunched the numbers based on where home values are high, there are plenty of kids under 10, and where homes are close together, meaning less walking while going door to door.
Overall, Phoenix was the 12th best city for trick-or-treating, with Maryvale being the top neighborhood to grab free candy.
The west Phoenix neighborhood is followed by Laveen (No. 2), Estrella (No. 3), North Gateway (No. 4) and Encanto (No. 5) as the top Phoenix ‘hoods for trick-or-treating.
The best cities for trick-or-treating are San Francisco (No. 1), San Jose (No. 2) and Philadelphia (No. 3).
Mesa also made the top 20 list, squeaking in at No. 20.
The top Mesa neighborhoods for costumed kids are: Stonegate Estates, Meridian Hills, Santa Rita Ranch, Mountain Ranch, and Community Fiesta.
